Arthur Vassiliou
About:
Arthur Vassiliou is a qualified practitioner of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) with over 38 years of experience. He has liaised with medical doctors, specialist centres, and allied health professionals in health centres throughout Melbourne.
He currently works from his home clinic, offering acupuncture, herbal remedies, remedial massage, TCM nutrition, cupping, moxibustion, Qigong, meditation and lifestyle advice. He also taught yoga for 15 years.
He sincerely assists people by approaching healing holistically- by integrating the body, mind and spirit. He finds he can help people to heal on deeper levels with one-on-one Qigong sessions and future group classes.
He has found that Qigong is a powerful and authentic approach to healing physical conditions, cultivating a calm and focused mind, and a joyful, loving spirit. His vision is to empower people to bring about unity and wholeness of being within themselves. He believes that by transforming from within first, people can lead a balanced, healthy and happy life and create a peaceful, harmonious world.
His lifestyle is based on integrating Daoist principles of living a simple, sincere and natural life. He wishes to convey this through his teaching and educating clients about their lifestyles.
Background:
Arthur has been a guest lecturer and speaker at Australian acupuncture colleges, at a Victorian university TCM department, and has offered workshops on the internal arts lifestyle based on TCM.
He also continues his professional education by studying different modalities such as scalp acupuncture, esoteric acupuncture, celestial stems and branches, and the I-Ching balance method. He’s a member of the Australian Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine Association (AACMA), which provides the guidelines for a high-quality standard of treatment and health care rebates.
He continues studying Da Yan Wild Goose and Lui He (six directions) Qigong forms as he wishes to teach these in the future to promote the holistic health and happiness of the community and global family.
Classes:
Arthur teaches Master Simon Blow’s Qigong forms- Ba Duan Jin (8 pieces of brocade), Tai Chi Shibashi, and Guigen Qigong (medical Qigong).
He currently teaches one-on-one classes in his clinical practice focusing on therapeutic and holistic healing. He will be offering group classes in the future and possibly Zoom classes.
