Classes – Workshops – Retreats – China Qigong Study Tours - Products
I have just recently returned from Beijing where I was attending an International Conference conducted by The World Academic Society of Medical Qigong (WASMQ). I was fortunate to be able to give two presentations, one was a demonstration of the Da Yan Wild Goose Qigong and the other a talk on the work I have been doing over the last thirty years in promoting the Chinese Health Cultivation practices or what we call Qigong, to read the full report click here   I felt very honoured to have received two  Outstanding Contribution Awards, one for my personal work and another for the long-term work that I have been doing with recovery programs in Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation.

I feel a personal sense of achievement to be recognised by the World Authority in the birth place (China) of these Traditional Health Cultivation practices. The Conference was also a General Assembly Meeting and I was elected to my third five year term as an Executive Council Member and a second term as a Deputy Secretary General.
As 2019 is drawing to a close I would like to thank everyone for their help and support during the year and hope that you have a happy and safe holiday period with family and friends. We send our healing energy and positive thoughts to all those effected by the bush fires in Australia.

September 2020 China Qigong Study Tour

We only have a few spots left for next year's September tour, if you are interested please contact me as soon as you can simon@simonblowqigong.com

On the September 2020 tour we will spend time in the fascinating north eastern area of China in Shandong province on the Yellow Sea. Shandong province is known for both its Daoist and Confucian heritage and as having one of the best dining experiences in China.

On this tour, we will gain a deeper insight into the Chinese health cultivation exercises (Qigong) and meditation at the Shanghai Qigong Research Institute, by spending three days at the Institute studying an ancient Qigong practise called Liu He Gong (Six Unity Exercise). This practise harmonises the Body, Breath and Mind, leading to the cultivation of Essence, Energy and Spirit (Jing, Qi ,Shen).

Our journey starts in the great city of Shanghai then catching a fast train to Qufu in Shandong province, to the home town of Confucius.

We visit historical temples and gardens and learn more about Confucian philosophy with a special lecture from a local Chinese University professor. We will go the top of Taishan one of the most sacred mountains, where the sun first touches China and where all Emperors would receive the mandate from heaven to rule.

Also we will travel to Five Finger Mountain and hold meaningful discussions with the Daoist Abbott on Daoist culture and ways of improving our quality of life. Other healing arts that have originated from the Daoist tradition include Acupuncture, Acupressure Massage, Chinese Herbal Medicine, Feng Shui, Qigong and Taijiquan.

Also in Shandong we will have plenty of occasions to sample the famous cuisine and have an opportunity arranged for a specialist cooking lesson.

This September 2020 journey ends in Beijing as we gaze in wonderment at the Imperial Palace in all its glory, visit the Great Wall and peer into history as you follow with your eyes the majestic Great Wall disappearing into the distant peaks. We will experience the enigmatic Beijing -a rapidly expanding vibrant city, maintaining elements of its ancient past and emerging future.

November 2019 Minto, NSW 1st 64 Da Yan Wild Goose Retreat
November 2019 Minto, NSW 2nd 64 Da Yan Wild Goose Retreat

We are proud to announce the 2020  residential retreat programme for the Da Yan Wild Goose Qigong on the 1st and 2nd 64 movement sets. We have retreats in New South Wales and Victoria  (see programme below).

The  Da Yan Wild Goose Qigong is an ancient cultivation practise originating from the Jin Dynasty about 1700 hundred years ago. The movements represent the flight of Wild Geese and help to expel toxins from the body, cleanse the meridians, improve blood flow and draw in and circulate fresh Qi.
The first 64 Movement set deals primarily with the "post natal” body and addresses illnesses or injuries that have developed as a result of everyday life.  Having  dredged  the  channels  in  the  first  64  form, the second 64 movement  set  deals  primary  with the “pre natal” body and is designed to clear the  channels, absorb fresh Qi, expel stale Qi and restore organ balance
