On our recent trip to Wudang Mountain in China I was able to catch up with one of my previous teachers, Grand Master Zhong Yun Long. On the fist two Qigong study tours that I lead to China in the year 1999 and 2000 we spend time at the sacred Wudang Mountain and we received personal training from Master Zhong who was the Abbott of the Purple Cloud Temple. I had lost contact and hadn't seen Master Zhong since 2000. Master Zhong is one of the main Daoist at Wudang and is the 14th Linage holder of the Wudang Sanfeng sect see website for more details.

http://wudangsanfengpai.squarespace.com/menu/

I presented the book and DVD Absorbing the Essence that I wrote documenting those experiences. We look forward to returning to Wudang Mountain next May and again visiting Master Zhong.

Absorbing the Essence comprises the energy cultivation techniques that were taught to Simon by the Abbott of The Purple Cloud Temple Grand Master Zhong Yun Long at Wudang Mountain. Wudangshan is one of the sacred Daoist Mountains of China and is renowned for the development of many of the Daosit healing arts which include Acupuncture, Feng Shui, Taijiquan (Tai Chi) and Qigong

The book and DVD contains three sections: 1. Warm up – preparation movements; 2. Wudang Longevity Qigong – this sequence of gentle, flowing movements stimulates the Heavenly Orbit, absorbing the primordial energy from the environment and letting the negativity dissolve into the distance; 3. Ba Duan Jin, Nurturing Life Qigong – this 30-minute sequence includes eight sections with exercises to stimulate different organs and meridians of the body. It is practised in a seated position on a chair or cushion

The  Da Yan Wild Goose Qigong is an acient cultivation practise originating from the Jin Dynasty about 1700 hundred years ago. The movements represent the flight of Wild Geese and help to expel toxins from the body, cleanse the meridians, improve blood flow and draw in and circulate fresh Qi. The first 64 Movement set deals primarily with the "post natal” body and addresses illnesses or injuries that have developed as a result of everyday life.  Having  dredged  the  channels  in  the  first  64  form, the second 64 movement  set  deals  primary  with the “pre natal” body and is designed to clear the  channels, absorb fresh Qi, expel stale Qi and restore organ balance

We are proud to announce the 2017  residential retreat programme for the Da Yan Wild Goose Qigong on the 1st and 2nd 64 movement sets. We have retreats in New South Wales, Victoria and Tasmania, see programme below.

Da Yan Wild Goose Qigong the 2nd 64 Movements deals primarily with the ‘pre-natal body’ and refers to the energy we gather from the universe and from our ancestors before birth. Having dredged the channels in the 1st 64 movement set, the 2nd 64 movement set is designed to clear the channels to absorb fresh Qi, expel stale Qi and to restore organ balance. The twisting, stretching, bending and pressing movements produce stronger Qi fields and intensify the circulation through the energy channels. In the 2nd 64 movement set the goose is embarking on a great journey and flies out from this world to the edge of the Milky Way, to pick the herbs or gather the pre-natal Qi from the core of the universe. It then flies back to this world to share this healing energy with humanity.

May 2018 Da Yan Wild Goose Training Tour
Da Yan Wild Goose Qigong is a  historical Qigong practise dating from the Jin Dynasty 1700 years ago. We are very fortunate to have the opportunity to travel to Wuhan, China and receive direct instruction and guidance from Grand Master Chen Chuan Gang the 28th Linage holder.

A pre-requisite to join this training tour is a good sound knowledge of the 1st 64 movement Da Yan Wild Goose Qigong, as we will receive training and instruction in the 2nd 64 movement set under direct guidance of the Grand Master.

Another highlight of this training tour is a three trip day to Wudang Mountain; Wudangshan is one of the sacred Daoist Mountains of China and has a very special energy.

Restoring Natural HarmonyGuigen’ translates to ‘returning to the source or root’. The six sections of Guigen Qigong encompass the Daoist understanding of The Five Elements, the Yin/Yang theory and the fundamentals of Traditional Chinese Medicine. In each body organ resides the spirit of one of the five elements: Earth, Metal, Water, Wood and Fire. This continuous practice of six sections together with the Qigong meditation ‘Return to Nothingness’ will cultivate and transform vital Qi energy to restore health, vitality and discover inner peace.
